How to Use

1. Set Duration: Enter the hours, minutes, and seconds in the input fields, or click a preset button for common durations.

2. Start Timer: Click the "Start" button to begin the countdown.

3. Controls: You can "Pause", "Resume", and "Reset" the timer. Use the "+ 1 min" or "- 1 min" buttons to adjust the time while it's running.

4. Notifications: The first time you start a timer, your browser may ask for permission to show notifications. This allows the timer to alert you even if the browser tab is not active.

5. Utilities: You can print the current timer state, export a calendar event (.ics) for when the timer will end, or use "Keep Screen On" to prevent your device from sleeping.

Glossary
Drift:

In timers, drift is a small error that accumulates over time, causing the countdown to become inaccurate. This timer minimizes drift by calculating the remaining time based on a fixed end-point, rather than just subtracting one second at a time.

Web Audio API:

A browser technology that allows web pages to generate sound directly, like the beep you hear when the timer finishes. It requires user interaction (like clicking "Start") to activate for the first time.

Wake Lock API:

A modern browser feature that can prevent the device's screen from turning off. It's useful for long timers when you need to see the remaining time constantly. This feature is not supported on all browsers.

.ICS File:

A standard calendar file format used by applications like Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook. Exporting an .ics file allows you to easily add an event for when the timer will finish.
