Password Creator and Strength Estimator: Creates and evaluates the security of a password.
The Password Strength Creator and Estimator generates secure passwords and evaluates the strength of existing passwords, analyzing criteria such as length, use of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters, ensuring protection against attacks and unauthorized access.

How to Use the Password Tool
- Select Mode: Choose 'Generator Mode' to create a new, cryptographically secure password based on your criteria, or 'Analyzer Mode' to check the strength of an existing password.
- Configure Settings: In Generator Mode, adjust the length slider (12+ characters recommended) and select the character types (Uppercase, Lowercase, Numbers, Symbols) you wish to include.
- Real-Time Feedback: As you type (in Analyzer Mode) or adjust settings (in Generator Mode), the strength bar, category, entropy bits, and estimated time-to-crack update instantly.
- Check Problems: Review the 'Problems Found & Suggestions' list. Use this advice to improve your password until the strength bar reaches 'Strong' or 'Very Strong' (ideally 100+ bits of entropy).
- Actions: Use the 'Copy' button to safely copy the generated password. Use the 'Print Analysis' button to generate a paper/PDF report of the current analysis for documentation (Note: The password itself is NOT included in the printout for security).
Security Glossary
- Password Strength
- A measure of how difficult it is for an unauthorized person or program to guess or crack the password.
- Entropy (Bits)
- A cryptographic measure of a password's randomness and unpredictability, measured in bits. Higher entropy means more security. A good target is 80 to 100+ bits.
- Brute Force Attack
- An attack method that tries every possible password combination until the correct one is found. The time-to-crack estimate shows how long this would take.
- Character Set
- The total pool of unique characters available for generating a password (e.g., lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols combined).
